Welcome to my new website! I migrated my old site over to github using Claude code. It was a fun way to see how capable the model was at handling a small project. It did a fabulous job, and explained the code it generated in detail. In addition to writing the code, it performed actions like installing new tools since the site was written in Jekyll. One of the nice things about using Claude code for a project like this is you can ask it questions as you go and learn more about coding as a result. It is still very helpful to have coding skills so that you understand what is happening. I could see a non-coding user getting lost. Vibe coding takes some technical knowledge to do any thing other than a very basic program. You need to integrate different tools, and understand the concept of pushes and pulls from github, but for a programmer, WOW. Great stuff. Here’s a screen shot of some of my interactio with claude as I migrated the site over.

AI is revolutionizing coding, but I’m still writing my books by hand. The third one is coming… more on that later.
